XG have unveiled the music video for their new single ‘GALA’, the lead track from their first full-length album, due for release on January 23rd 2026.
Released digitally on September 19th, the track moves between English and Japanese verses over house-driven beats and futuristic synth textures, with a focus on their hard hitting rap delivery. Described by the group as a “runway anthem”, the song is the first official preview of the as-yet-untitled album.
The video takes inspiration from the Met Gala, reimagined as the X GALA SHOW. Opening with the members awakening from space capsules, positioning XG as the event’s centrepiece, with surreal imagery, elaborate styling, and choreography designed to frame the group as cultural leaders in what they call X-POP.
‘GALA’ follows a summer of high-profile appearances for the seven-member collective. On August 30th, they headlined a-nation 2025 for the first time, where the album announcement was made. The group also staged a world tour exhibition at Laforet Museum Harajuku earlier this month, showcasing outfits, photography, and new merchandise from their debut international tour, The first HOWL.
XG will next perform in China across October 2nd-7th, before headlining Coca-Cola X Fes 2025 in Japan on October 12th. Their first full-length album will arrive in January, positioned as what the group describe as “a declaration that captures the group’s deepest essence”.
