Yungblud is expanding the Idols era with six new additions on Idols II.
Yungblud is releasing Idols II digitally on February 20
Yungblud has officially announced the second instalment of his Idols project, confirming that Idols II will arrive digitally this Friday (20.02.26). The release features six new songs, along with a special collaborative version of his Grammy‑nominated track Zombie recorded with The Smashing Pumpkins.
The new chapter follows the huge success of the first Idols collection, and Yungblud has also revealed that the era’s lead single, Suburban Requiem, will debut with a visualiser tomorrow.
Reflecting on the evolution of the project, the singer described Idols II as a continuation of the emotional journey he began on the first record.
He further explained that the first part helped him rebuild himself during a difficult period, while the second represents survival, renewal and a sense of feeling fully alive again.
He said in a statement: “This is it — the second chapter of the Idols story.
“Part 1 helped me reclaim who I was at the lowest point of my life. Part 2 is about recognising that I survived it. It’s about feeling alive, feeling real, and understanding that you can become invincible when you finally feel yourself. It’s realising my heart’s still beating and my lungs are still filling with air.”
Fans will also be able to get their hands on physical editions later in the year. These include a Yungblud‑store‑exclusive Idols (Complete) 180g 2LP and CD featuring all 19 tracks from both instalments, plus a silver‑transparent Idols II vinyl with new artwork.
Away from the album rollout, Yungblud recently hinted that a dream collaboration may be on the horizon.
He told Rolling Stone that Pearl Jam frontman Eddie Vedder has been a major vocal influence and suggested the pair could write together in the future.
The two were photographed in December at New York’s Capitol Theatre alongside Anthony Kiedis, Bruno Mars and Brandi Carlile, where they performed with Slash’s all‑star band The Dirty Bats, which also included Duff McKagan, Chad Smith and Andrew Watt.
