Zach Bryan has taken aim at his critics after calling out Kid Rock’s performance at the Turning Point USA halftime show.
Taking to his Instagram Story after the All-American Halftime Show, Zach shared a video of someone watching the concert on their phone while Bad Bunny’s performance played on TV. The person in the clip held their hand up to try and stop themselves from seeing Bad Bunny.
“What Kid Rock actually thinks is happening across America,” Zach captioned the video.
Some people weren’t happy with Zach’s criticism of Kid Rock and messaged him to share their thoughts. One person fumed, “We’re done with your p—y boy your fall off is inevitable. I followed you for years but lately I’ve just proved how much of a f–king f—-t you are.”
They added, “I wish your p—y boy a– would’ve hopped over that fence and let Gavin Adcock whoop your a– cause you definitely deserve one. F–k boy.”
Zach shared a screenshot of the hate message on his Instagram Story and wrote over the top, “Bro the irony in how upset a bunch of middle aged douchebags are in my DMs this morning hahahahah.”
Another critic messaged Zach, “Wtf happens to you? Boy you turned into a Hollywood sell out b—h quick. You were my favorite artist. Now you are nothing but another dumba– out of touch elitist. S–t happens quick homie.”
Zach again hit back at the message and wrote, “I don’t care what side you’re on, a bunch of adults throwing temper tantrums and their own halftime show is embarrassing as hell and the most cringe s–t on the planet.”
Zach wasn’t the only country singer to hit out at Kid Rock’s halftime show performance.
Over on X, country singer Kacey Musgraves praised Bad Bunny while taking a swipe at Kid Rock. “Well. That made me feel more proudly American than anything Kid Rock has ever done,” she wrote.
Country singer Rissi Palmer also praised Bad Bunny on Instagram. “‘My name is Benito Antonio Martinez Ocasio. And if today I’m here at the Super Bowl, it’s because I never, never stopped believing in myself.’ That’s what Bad Bunny said, in Spanish, when he started the show,” she shared.
Rissi continued, “I can’t think of anything more American than coming from being a bagger at a grocery store to performing at the Super Bowl halftime show. You don’t have to be Puerto Rican to Latinx to appreciate that. It was beautiful. It was emotional. It was intentional. It was inclusive. It was what was needed for this moment.
“I don’t speak Spanish but I understood the message VERY clearly. Kendrick told us we were beautiful last year. Bad Bunny did that for his community tonight. If you can’t appreciate that, you are a straight up hater.”
