As 2025 comes to a close, we’re finding out which musical artists have topped streaming charts for the year — and who earned the most money from those streams. The team at TradingPlatforms shared their data analysis results and for some, the findings are surprising.
For starters, the year’s most streamed song on Spotify was “Ordinary” by Alex Warren. Per the data, which was sent to Parade directly, the song had about 1.33 billion streams, generating $3.8 million in revenue.
As for the most streamed artist overall, that feat belongs to Bad Bunny. His streaming revenue on Spotify is estimated to be around $29 million — which is triple the amount that Swift earned for songs released in 2025.
Below is the list of top Spotify earners as reported by TradingPlatforms. Note: These are estimated revenue numbers based on the midpoint of Spotify’s $0.003–$0.005 payout.
Bad Bunny – 7.3 billion streams from 15 tracks, $29.08 million in estimated revenue
Taylor Swift – 2.5 billion streams from 12 tracks, $10.14 million
HUNTR/X – 2.3 billion streams from 4 tracks, $9,327,359

Beéle – 1.3 billion streams from 6 tracks, $5,397,228
“If 2025 has made anything clear, it’s that the streaming economy now moves at the speed of cultural obsession,” said TradingPlatforms data analyst Stanislava Savisheva. “The real story is Bad Bunny, who isn’t just topping charts – he’s setting the pace for everyone else. When one artist pulls in triple the revenue (theoretical revenue, of course) of Taylor Swift in the same year, that’s not just popularity; that’s outright dominance.”
Of course, Swift only recently released her new album The Life of a Showgirl, and she’s been dominating the streaming charts for several weeks. Her single “The Fate of Ophelia” is currently the most streamed track of the week.
Meanwhile, Bad Bunny has been soaring in popularity in recent years. The Puerto Rican born entertainer has been tapped to perform the 2026 Super Bowl.
