The 2026 Actor Awards, formerly known as the SAG (Screen Actors Guild) Awards, concluded in Los Angeles with an evening defined by heartfelt tributes and a powerful show of solidarity among performers.
Award-winning actress Kristin Bell returned to host for a third year, opening the ceremony with a comedic monologue focusing on celebrity stage names, jokingly calling the show’s title rebrand: “New name, new girl.”
She also kept the celebrity guests entertained with a hilarious table tennis tournament, where she had actors playing head-to-head throughout the night, starting off with her The Good Place co-star Ted Danson and Nobody Wants This star Jackie Tohn.

Legendary actor Harrison Ford received the Lifetime Achievement Award, presented by his “friend and colleague” Woody Harrelson.
“Incredibly grateful for the kind attention,” Ford said, accepting the honour.
Ford went on to note he was not an overnight success and struggled for 15 years to break into the entertainment industry before getting his big break in the “wildly successful film” Star Wars, and then Indiana Jones.

“I found a calling, a life in storytelling,” Ford said, before thanking everyone who had helped build his stellar career.
“Being able to deliver the work together is an honour and a privilege, and because of that privilege I’ve come to know myself.
“I’m indeed a lucky guy.
“I don’t take that for granted — thank you truly from the bottom of my heart to my peers, to my extraordinary, beautiful wife Calista and my family, who have given me the love and courage through all of it.”
Also honoured on the night was the late Catherine O’Hara, who won a posthumous Actor Award for her work on comedy series The Studio.
The 71-year-old actor died unexpectedly in January this year from a pulmonary embolism.
Already a comedy legend in films like Beetlejuice and Best In Show, O’Hara’s performance as an ousted studio head in Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg’s Hollywood satire The Studio was universally praised.
Rogen was on hand to accept O’Hara’s Actor Award for Best Female Actor in a Comedy Series.

“I was asked to assume the very sad honour of accepting this award on O’Hara’s behalf,” Rogen said.
“I have been reflecting on my time working with her and something I’ve been marvelling at over the past few weeks was her ability to be generous and kind and gracious while never minimising her own talents and her own ability to contribute to the work we were doing.”
The Actor Awards also paid tribute to actors who died in the last year, including James Van Der Beek and Eric Dane.
Dawson’s Creek star Van Der Beek, who died in February aged 48 after being diagnosed with colorectal cancer, was the first honoured during the ceremony’s In Memoriam tribute.
Elsewhere in the montage, a clip played of beloved Grey’s Anatomy actor Dane — who died February 19 at age 53 less than a year after going public with his ALS diagnosis — saying: “Don’t waste one single minute.”
The trio were among dozens of stars — including Diane Keaton, Gene Hackman and Rob Reiner — remembered during the emotional segment.
While the night was marked by reflection, it was also a celebration of standout achievements — with Sinners emerging as the biggest winner.

Ryan Coogler’s vampire thriller took out the top honour, with Delroy Lindo accepting the award on stage alongside the cast for Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture.
“Thank you to every last one of this cast and company, in front of the camera and behind the camera,” Lindo said.
“We brought our hearts and spirits to this end.”
“And to be recognised by you all.
“Thank you does not encompass the gratitude.
“From the bottom of our hearts to the bottom of your hearts, thank you and god bless y’all.”
Lead actor in the film, Michael B. Jordan, also took home the trophy for Male Actor in a Leading Role.
