6ix9ine Admits He Was Scared During Casanova Clash at Barclays Center in 2018

In an interview for VladTV, controversial rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine addressed his tense clash with Casanova’s crew at the Barclays Center in 2018 and admitted that he was scared.

In the interview, which can be seen below, 6ix9ine was asked how the beef started. He said, in a position echoed by federal prosecutors during the racketeering case in which he was a cooperating witness, that Casanova’s song “Don’t Run” was mocking a failed robbery attempt against the “Get the Strap” artist by a member of the Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods, the gang 6ix9ine was affiliated with at the time. The making of that song, 6ix9ine said, was equivalent to Cas “cooperating.” This was especially the case because, years after it was recorded, the feds tried unsuccessfully to use that song in their case against Nine Trey.

Talking about the Barclays Center situation, he said that Casanova’s crew was much larger than his when they clashed backstage at an Adrien Broner fight — a recollection backed up by surveillance video of the incident.

Nine Trey member Fuguan Lovick fired a single shot during the altercation, which caused both crews to scatter. He was sentenced to 85 months behind bars after accepting a guilty plea.

“I was like, ‘Oh it’s over,'” 6ix9ine said when asked how he felt when he saw the crew coming towards him. “Like, ‘They got me.’ I just felt like I was like, ‘Yo, ain’t no way us five…’ 20 versus 5, it was over. I said, ‘Oh, it’s over, it was a set-up. … I didn’t know who shot.”

He added that he was scared throughout the whole experience, and initially thought that he got shot.

“The whole time I was scared,” he laughed. “Everybody ran but [Casanova]. … Everybody ran but him.”

Casanova is currently serving a 15 year prison sentence for RICO charges in connection with his alleged involvement with the Bloods set the Untouchable Gorilla Stone Nation. Earlier this year, he shared a rare update on his wellbeing on Instagram, sharing a number of pictures from behind bars that showed off his muscle gains.
