’90s Band Announces Tour For The First Time in 17 Years originally appeared on Parade.

Indie rock-alternative band Shudder To Think will be going on tour together for the first time in 17 years.

Shudder to Think was an American rock band formed in 1986 in Washington, D.C. Led by singer Craig Wedren, they released early records with Dischord before signing to Epic in the 1990s, where they put out their most well-known album, Pony Express Record, in 1994. Their last studio album they put out together with new music, was 50,000 B.C, which was released in 1997, and created the movie soundtracks for the 1998 films High Art and First Love, Last Rites.

The band broke up in 1998 to pursue solo projects, but they got back together briefly in 2007, where they performed together at The Mercury Lounge in New York City that September, and then had a reunion tour in 2008. The band split up again shortly after.

After not performing together for decades, Shudder To Think is back and better than ever. Currently survived by Wedren, Nathan Larson, Clint Walsh, Jherek Bischoff and Adam Wade, the band reunited again in March 2025 and performed two surprise shows at Permanent Records Roadhouse in Los Angeles.

On Tuesday, it was announced that they will be going on tour around the United States this fall. The tour starts in Boston on October 23 and ends in Los Angeles at the Lodge Room on November 11. The “I Want Somebody Badly” singers will also stop in Washington D.C., New York City, Portland, Seattle and San Francisco. They will also be performing at Riot Fest 2025 in Chicago on September 19, and an additional afterparty show will be held that same night at the Cobra Lounge.
