Shakira, Matthew McConaughey, Eva Longoria and Khloé Kardashian are among the celebrities who have shared social media condolences on the recent Texas flooding. The tragedy hit home for country crooner Robert Earl Keen, who has vowed to donate 100% of his tour merchandise sales to flood relief efforts. Keen, who has a ranch in Kerrville, is in the process of organizing a benefit concert.
Shakira pledged to donate a portion of her concert proceeds to Hill Country flood disaster relief following her July 5 concert in San Antonio. The Colombian singer, who dedicated her “Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran” World Tour performance at the Alamodome to victims of the recent Texas flooding, said money from her show will go to the Catholic Charities of San Antonio to support families impacted by the floods.

“I just landed in San Antonio, devastated to hear the news of the floods, the deaths, and the girls still missing,” Shakira said in a July 4 post on X, originally written in Spanish. “I can only think of their families and their immense pain. My prayers are with you on this sad day.”
“Our hearts and prayers are with those affected by the flood in Central Texas,” Shakira wrote one day later on X. “We are donating a portion of tonight’s show proceeds to Catholic Charities of San Antonio, who are providing disaster relief to the families impacted.”
“Your help is important and appreciated,” the singer posted on X, inviting others to join her in donating to flood victims.
On Instagram, Shakira posted a photo from her Alamodome show with the caption, “San Antonio, my heart is with you.”

Matthew McConaughey, Miranda Lambert, Eva Longoria share thoughts
Matthew McConaughey, a Texas native born in Uvalde, also extended an emotional tribute to Central Texas flood victims.
“At least 70 lives have been lost, many more are unaccounted for, and countless Texans are hurting — inside and out,” McConaughey said in a July 6 post on X. “If you’re able, please lend a helping hand where and how you can. It’s gonna be a long road ahead, but right now the shock, the pain and the chaos need the steady hand of a neighbor.”

Corpus Christi native Eva Longoria also shared a candid video on the Texas floods via Instagram Stories on July 6, saying how unbelievable it is that the flooding affected Camp Mystic.
“I know so many families that have been going to those camps for years, so sending my prayers to those families and communities,” Longoria said in a July 6 Instagram Story. “It’s a heavy world right now, and I hope everyone is taking care of their mental health.”
Texas-born country singers Miranda Lambert and Maren Morris also commented on the recent flooding.
Lambert, who was born in Longview, shared an Instagram video on July 5, saying that her nonprofit organization, MuttNation Foundation, is partnering with Kerrville Pets Alive and starting a fundraiser to help pet owners with displacement caused by the flood.

Arlington-born Maren Morris shared a July 5 Instagram post that said that she is thinking of her home state that included donation links.
Actress Hillary Duff, who was born in Houston, posted on Instagram that she is beyond heartbroken over the devastation in her home state.
“Tears fall every time I imagine one of these families receiving bad news … waiting … or entire families lost. Just gone,” Duff wrote on Instagram. “It’s too much to comprehend.”

Khloé Kardashian, Billie Eilish and Lana Del Rey show support on social media
Khloé Kardashian also posted a tribute to Texas flood victims on her Instagram Story on July 6.

“I can’t stop thinking about the families in Texas and the overwhelming pain they’re going through right now,” Kardashian wrote on Sunday. “As a mother, this kind of tragedy hits in a place words can’t reach. The loss of those sweet, innocent children is something I can’t fully process. There are just no words for this.”
“My heart is so deeply aching for every parent, every family member, and every community,” Kardashian wrote. “Please know that so many of us are carrying you in our hearts right now, and I’m praying with everything I have in me for those still missing. Texas, we are holding you close.”
That same Sunday, Billie Eilish reposted a video of the floods with a comment saying “sending love to Texas. The next day, Lana Del Rey posted a photo on Instagram to share her condolences as well.
“I want to say how sorry I am for so many people’s losses in Kerr County and beyond in Texas,” Lana Del Rey wrote on Instagram. “We’ve been thinking of you every day since the floods. All of my prayers are with you every moment of the day this week, and may all the angels be with you as you search for even more lost loved ones.”

The National Football League (NFL) also announced Sunday that they will be contributing $1.5 million to “immediate assistance and long-term resources” to flood victims, a sum that also combines donations by the Dallas Cowboys and Houston Texans football teams. The Dallas Cowboys cheerleaders shared on Sunday that they will also be donating $500,000 to flood relief efforts.
“Texans are some of the most resilient and generous people on the planet,” McConaughey wrote on X.
