DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — With crowds expected to reach at least 100,000 in number, a massive country music festival is kicking off tonight.

The festival will see 45 performances in full (as of writing), with artists like Shaboozey, Carrie Underwood, Darius Rucker, HARDY and more taking the stage.
While the festival features many household names, organizers are hoping to shine a light on local stars as well who rising in their art.
The main way this is happening is through the addition of a third stage.
“We added a third stage, which is a G&J Pepsi Stage,” said Carly Adams, Marketing Director for the VOA Country Music Festival. “We have six total artists on that stage. It’s two a day.”
Local names who will perform on that stage include Max Geers, Drew Freeland and Corey Hooker.
