A new teaser confirms that Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell: Deathwatch will soon debut on Netflix, marking the franchise’s long-awaited return. The animated series introduces new characters alongside Sam Fisher, with Ubisoft and Netflix co-producing the project.

Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell: Deathwatch gets new teaser and October release date

Netflix has released the official teaser for Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell: Deathwatch and confirmed the series will premiere on October 14, 2025.

The animated adaptation features Liev Schreiber voicing Sam Fisher, the longtime protagonist of Ubisoft’s Splinter Cell franchise. Netflix also announced that Kirby Howell-Baptiste will join the cast as Zinnia McKenna, an original character created for the show.

The project comes from Derek Kolstad, creator of the John Wick franchise. Kolstad is credited with creating the first three John Wick films and has also worked on the action film Nobody. Ubisoft and Netflix first revealed the animated series in 2020, building anticipation among fans of the video game series, which has been dormant since Splinter Cell: Blacklist in 2013.

The teaser trailer debuted during Anime NYC and highlights Sam Fisher in a rain-soaked sequence while a voice warns he is “running out of time.” The footage also shows assassins, gunfire, and close-quarters combat, setting the tone for the stealth-focused narrative.

Netflix’s description states that Fisher and McKenna fight to survive while squads of trained killers pursue them. The show reportedly joins Netflix’s expanding lineup of animated adaptations, which includes Arcane, Castlevania, and Cyberpunk: Edgerunners.

Liev Schreiber built his reputation with roles in Ray Donovan, Spotlight, and X-Men Origins: Wolverine. Kirby Howell-Baptiste, known for The Good Place, Barry, and The Sandman, brings a new dynamic to the Splinter Cell universe.

Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell: Deathwatch premieres October 14, 2025, exclusively on Netflix, co-produced with Ubisoft.
