The Who has postponed its scheduled concert at Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic Coty Saturday night.
It’s the second consecutive show the legendary band has called off due to an undisclosed illness. The Who postponed Thursday’s planned third show of its “The Song is Over — North American Farewell Tour” at the Xfinity Mobile Arena (formerly known as the Wells Fargo Center) in Philadelphia.
Reason for the postponements was given as “an illness” but without further explanation. The Philly tour stop was planned to be the last ever Philly performance by the Roger Daltrey and Pete Townshend-led band.
Xfinity Mobile Arena said through social media the venue and band are working “quickly to schedule a new date.” No new date has been announced. Ticketmaster says ticketholders should hold onto their tickets because they’ll be valid for the makeup concert.
There’s no word on a new date for the Boardwalk Hall show.
The tour’s second show Tuesday in Newark, N.J., went off without a hitch.
