Popstar Taylor Swift and NFL tight end Travis Kelce have sent Swifties into chaos as they’ve announced their engagement, but there was more to the special moment that arranging some pretty flowers and saying, “Yes!”
The Grammy-winning singer took to her Instagram on Tuesday, August 26, to share some heartwarming snaps taken from the couple’s proposal, which was set in a garden decked out in tons of flowers.
Swift jokingly captioned the engagement post with, “Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married,” alongside a dynamite emoji.
However, behind the scenes, there was tons of planning, with the famous duo’s PR teams “choreographing” every detail, a PR expert has weighed in.

Swift, a long-time lover of Easter eggs, may have hinted at her engagement with the colors she chose for her most recent album cover for The Life of a Showgirl.
While this is the first time an engagement has been confirmed, some Swifties have speculated that the news was coming for weeks.
BRIDES.com noted last year that the color for brides in 2025 would be orange. The color is called “Verona Sunset,” which is a soft orange color similar to the one featured on Swift’s album cover.
“This punchy, perky orange is the perfect match for all of the bold, inventive couples planning their nuptials right now,” BRIDES reported.
The organization explained that the color represents Italy, as destination weddings are on the rise.
“With a particular emphasis on celebrations taking place in Italy, naming our warm, rich orange after an iconic Italian city couldn’t have been more fitting. The fact that said city also serves at the backdrop to Romeo and Juliet was just the icing on the cake.”
