Princess Beatrice has gone into business with a senior figure at the World Economic Forum (WEF), it has been announced. The royal, who recently celebrated her 37th birthday, has been named as a director and 45 percent shareholder of Purpose Economy Intelligence Ltd.
The company is anewly established company listed at Companies House, with their purpose spanning “business and domestic software development”, other information technology service activities”, and “management consultancy activities”.
Luis Alvarado Martinez, a Spanish-born executive who has worked at the WEF since 2021, has also been named as a 45 percent shareholder at the company.
The third shareholder named is Olivia Horsley, who is Beatrice’s long-serving private secretary. Olivia, known as Libby, has not been listed as a director.
The news comes as the mum-of-two, who is one of King Charles’ nieces, is reportedly trying to balance her commercial work with new patronages.
Earlier this year, following the birth of her second daughter, Beatrice became patron of Borne – which is a charity focused on tackling the causes of premature birth.
Baby Athena arrived prematurely back in January, with the young royal a little sister to Beatrice and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi’s oldest daughter, three-year-old Sienna. As well as being a mum to two daughters, Beatrice is also a proud stepmum to Edoardo’s nine-year-old son Wolfie.
Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson’s eldest daughter does not receive public funding via the Sovereign Grant and has increasingly pursued private-sector roles alongside her charitable commitments.
Beatrice and her sister, Princess Eugenie – who is also a mum of two – both balance private careers with selected patronages.
Beatrice works in the tech and finance sector, while 35-year-old Eugenie has a career in the art field.
