GUILFORD — The first public showing of Brian Remer’s film short, “Time Machine” will be held at Zeller Hall at the Guilford Community Church at 7:30 p.m. this Friday, Sept. 5.
The filmmaker describes the 13-minute short as the interplay of memory, time, nostalgia and regret. It stars local musician Peter Amidon and his grandson Desmond Bode, and was filmed primarily in Guilford.
Remer has spent his career facilitating meetings and training for businesses, government and nonprofits and is the author of a book of 99-word stories. “I am always interested in delivering a thought-provoking message in as few words as possible,” he said. “’Time Machine’ is my attempt to tell a short story through the medium of film.”
There will be a Q & A with the production crew after the showing. Light refreshments will be served in an air-conditioned space. This is a free event however donations are encouraged to support the Brattleboro Area Interfaith Youth Group. It is appropriate for all ages and languages.
