From their late ’90s emergence through chart success and countless tours, Cog have remained one of Australia’s most enduring heavy music acts. Their 2005 debut The New Normal established the Sydney trio as festival mainstays, leading to Gold-certified follow-up Sharing Space in 2008.

After a five-year hiatus, Cog’s 2016 comeback tour sold out entirely, proving their fanbase had only grown stronger. Recent years saw the band finally gain control of their music rights after a 15-year battle, leading to long-awaited vinyl releases and another largely sold-out Australian run in 2024.

“Walk The Line” marks the band’s first new material since the standalone track “Drawn Together” dropped six years ago.

“Whatever the future holds, we would like to once again express the deep gratitude we have to all the people who have supported the band over the years,” the band shares. “We hope you enjoy the new music we’ve created together.”

“Walk The Line” is out Friday 26 September, with exclusive early access available Friday 12 September via Cog’s YouTube channel. For tickets and more information, head here. Get tickets for Bird’s Robe 15th Birthday Show here.
