SAN ANTONIO — Hispanic Heritage Month officially kicks off Monday and the city is celebrating it’s deep rooted ties to vibrant Hispanic culture all month long with a full lineup of diverse events for all ages.
From Sep. 15 through Oct. 15, San Antonionians can honor Hispanic/Latino communities with parades, musical and arts performances, film screenings, crafts, health and wellness activities, and more.
The city’s Department of Arts & Culture and the Diez y Seis de Septiembre Commission invite the community to Fiestas Patrias 2025, which includes more than 35 events.
Established in 1994, the commission holds cultural events throughout the city to promote an understanding of the historical significance of Mexico’s Day of Independence.
Signature Fiestas Patrias events include Diez y Seis Charreada and Nuestras Voces: Stories of Resilience on Sep. 20 and Diez y Seis Mariachi Festival on Oct. 11.
