Celebrity burglar pleads XXX to ten felony crimes

SEATTLE — A 29-year-old man accused of leading a string of celebrity burglaries pleaded not guilty to ten felony crimes.

On Monday morning, Patrick Maisonet, alleged ringleader, entered that not guilty plea for the following 10 felony crimes:

• Residential burglary at the home of a Renton resident (Jan. 6, 2025 – not a professional athlete or musician).
• Residential burglary at the home of Seattle Mariners pitcher Luis Castillo (Feb. 7, 2025)*.
• First-degree robbery for a robbery at the home of Baseball and Mariners Hall of Famer Ichiro Suzuki (Feb. 9, 2025).
• First-degree burglary at the home of Baseball and Mariners Hall of Famer Ichiro Suzuki (Feb. 9, 2025)
• Residential burglary at the home burglary of Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Blake Snell (March 24-25, 2025).
• Residential burglary at the home of Seattle Mariners pitcher Luis Castillo (March 28, 2025)*.
• First-degree robbery for a robbery at the home of former Seattle Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman (March 30, 2025).
• Residential burglary at the home of former Seattle Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman (March 30, 2025).
• First-degree robbery for a robbery at musician Macklemore’s home (June 7, 2025).
• First-degree burglary at the home of musician Macklemore (June 7, 2025).

Prosecutors said Maisonet was always armed while committing these crimes and used WIFI blockers to stop or slow down calls to 911.

This is not Maisonet’s first arrest. Prosecutors call his criminal background “disturbing.” His criminal history dates back to 2009, including assaults and burglaries; in 2016, he was also involved in a high profile shooting and carjacking on Seattle’s Interstate 5.

Investigators were after Maisonet before this most recent crime spree began:

Maisonet was wearing an ankle monitor that he is believed to have cut off back in November after a burglary at a Bellevue jeweler. A motion for a bench warrant was signed in December after Maisonet failed to respond to a report of his bracelet being removed. Shortly after, in February, Maisonet was charged with second-degree escape, a felony crime for violating his court-ordered home monitoring requirements. During the crime spree, Maisonet failed to appear at his arraignment on March 5, when the bench warrant was officially confirmed. Then, on Aug. 21, Maisonet was booked into King County Jail, where he has remained since then on a combined $2.265 million bail, $1 million alone for the celebrity crime spree.

Maisonet also pleaded not guilty both in the escape case and the Bellevue jewelry store case.
