Kate Gosselin gave her followers a peek at her new prairie costume
The reality TV alum shared a video on TikTok of her surprising her boyfriend in a Little House on the Prairie costume Thursday, July 23

Kate Gosselin had a surprise for her boyfriend during their trip out West.
During Gosselin and Steve Neild’s ongoing trip at his rural property on Thursday, July 23, the Kate Plus 8 alum shared a video of a new look on TikTok, inspired by Little House on the Prairie.
In the latest iteration of her daily vlogs, the 51-year-old former reality star channeled the fictional Ingalls family from the Little House franchise, wearing a bonnet, light-blue blouse and a ribbon tie.
“The prairie has clearly gotten to me,” Gosselin said. “This was a suggestion from somebody on here. And I had never thought of it. So whoever you are, thank you for coming up with this. I immediately went to Amazon and ordered this beautiful costume.”
She added, “I have a video surprising Steve at breakfast time with this outfit and to say he was surprised is an understatement. We’re still laughing about it.”
While Gosselin thought the look was “really cute” and Neild called it “beautiful,” his initial reaction told another story.
“What the hell have you done?” he asked Gosselin. “Where did that come from? What the hell… Is this Little House on the Prairie or the Amish?”

Gosselin told her TikTok followers that “it’s gonna make another appearance,” potentially when she and Neild “have people over for dinner.”
The couple is currently staying at Neild’s unspecified rural property with their two dogs, Koda and Meika, as Gosselin has continued to update fans on her “prairie” happenings in recent days. The space is “under construction but constructed enough that we can live in it,” and she’s called it the perfect spot for their two rescue pets to “roam.”

Gosselin first revealed in September that she was in a relationship, telling her TikTok followers that she was “super, super happy.” Several fans commented on her boyfriend’s resemblance to the Gosselin family’s bodyguard, and she then went Instagram official with Neild in November.
Kate’s trip out west comes after her estranged son Collin, 22, announced his tell-all memoir, In the Shadow of Eight: Surviving the Reality of My Childhood, will be released in October. Kate shares eight children with ex-husband Jon Gosselin: twins Mady and Cara, now 25, and sextuplets Collin, Alexis, Hannah, Aaden, Leah and Joel.
