Alabama singers who want a shot at a national spotlight on “American Idol” next year have an additional day to try out online.
Idol Across America has added Sept. 29 as a virtual audition date for the state.
“Alabama hopefuls will once again get the opportunity to audition in front of producers for a chance to become the next ‘American Idol,'” said Rachel Krokenberger, an account executive with the show’s public relations group.

Singers should register ahead of the audition at americanidol.com/auditions. Applicants — who must be at least 15 years old by Feb. 15, 2026 — have to create a profile and select an audition date.
Artists who make it through the auditions will have a chance to impress celebrity judges Luke Bryan, Lionel Richie and Carrie Underwood when season 24 begins airing in spring 2026.
Alabama singers who want a shot at appearing on “American Idol” like Triston Harper did in 2024 have another chance to audition on Sept. 29.
