Taylor Swift’s fans are defending the pop star with solid receipts by shutting down critics who mocked the singer for expressing concern over Travis Kelce’s safety on the field.
On Saturday, the crowd filled GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium with cheers as the Kansas City Chiefs star went head-to-head against the Detroit Lions.
Prior to their 30-17 victory, a video of the veteran tight end began circulating online, showing just how dangerous the game can be.
As seen in the footage, Kelce landed hard on his head and neck, leaving fans alarmed over the brutal impact of the fall.
With this, Swifties flooded social media with evidence backing the music sensation’s remark that her fiancé “puts his life on the line” every time he plays in the NFL.
“And this is why Taylor is worried about the guy she loves who’s battling on the field,” the post reads.
The comment section quickly filled with reactions agreeing that Swift’s concern was completely justified.
“And people were talking [expletive] about her saying ‘putting his life on the line,’” one wrote.
“It’s because they don’t like her and they don’t like that when she talks, it’s in like a storyteller way. They like to pretend what she’s saying is not true. Football players are always getting injured all the time,” another added.
One social media user echoed the sentiment, saying the “Bad Blood” hitmaker has every right to worry about Kelce whenever he’s on the field. The user added, “My late husband did break his neck by landing head first, although not in football. He ended up paralyzed. She’s right to have concerns.”

During the Grammy winner’s appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallonto promote her new album The Life of a Showgirl, the 35-year-old singer faced backlash after the public ridiculed her for her controversial remarks about Kelce.
The statement came after she was asked about the rumors claiming she declined to perform at the 2026 Super Bowl halftime show.
The “Opalite” singer dismissed the speculations and explained that there are more important things to focus on, like supporting the Chiefs star during his games.
“Jay-Z has always been very good to me, our teams are really close, they sometimes will call and say, ‘How does she feel about the Super Bowl?’ and that’s not an official offer or a conference room conversation,” she shared.
Moreover, she emphasized how “dangerous” the sport is and mentioned how Kelce risks his life every time he steps onto the field.
“We’re always able to tell him the truth, which is I am in love with a guy who does that sport on that actual field. That is violent chess. That is gladiators without swords. That is dangerous,” Swift shared, referring to the football players. “The whole season, I am locked in on what that man is doing on the field. Could you imagine if he’s out there every single week, putting his life on the line, doing this very dangerous, very high-pressure, high-intensity sport, and I’m like, I wonder what my choreo should be?”
As the championship game nears, the organization announced that Puerto Rican singer-rapper Bad Bunny will be performing at the highly anticipated 2026 Super Bowl halftime show.
