According to PEOPLE, on the “Armchair Expert” podcast, Jennifer Aniston was asked if she has found “peace” after not having kids. To which she answered, “It’s so peaceful. But I will say there’s a point where it’s like out of my control.” The 56-year-old added, “There’s literally nothing I can do about it.” “The Morning Show” actor continued, “When people say, ‘But you can adopt,’ I don’t want to adopt.”
She said she wants her “own DNA in a little person.” Aniston also noted, “That’s the only way, selfish or not, whatever that is, I’ve wanted it.” Moreover, the actor shared she had moments where she met someone and felt they “would have made some good kids.” Nevertheless, she mentioned that this feeling would “pass within three seconds.” Aniston added that it’s something one will romanticize being “on the other side of it,” as “it’s out of your control.”
Aniston further explained, “It just wasn’t in the plan, whatever the plan was.” She stated, “It’s very emotional, especially in the moment when they say ‘that’s it,’ because there is a weird moment when that happens.” Recently, the seasoned actor slammed rumors of not having kids due to her career.
She told Harper’s Bazaar UK, “They didn’t know my story, or what I’d been going through over the past 20 years to try to pursue a family.” She shared that this is because she doesn’t “go out there” and share about her medical woes since it’s “not anybody’s business.” Aniston expressed, “But there comes a point when you can’t not hear it – the narrative about how I won’t have a baby, won’t have a family, because I’m selfish, a workaholic.” The actor continued, “It does affect me – I’m just a human being. We’re all human beings.”
