People Magazine is back at it naming off its sexiest men of the past year, and to the outlet’s credit it gets pretty darned detailed with the picks.
There are sub-categories folks.
There’s even a “sexiest cat dad” category, per Whiskey Riff, but a big one is “Sexiest Country Star,” and the results are in there.
The winner?
Well, for Pennsylvania folks, it should be noted that Hershey’s Warren Zeiders was on the list, but he was not the winner.
Instead, according to the site, which determines the winner via a poll of readers, is Riley Green.
Green took the honor in a field that also included Cody Johnson and Shaboozey.
Whiskey Riff reported that 350,000 people — a record — voted in this year’s contest.
Zeiders actually won the sexiest 25 year old honor last year so he has had some success in this type of thing. Luke Combs, who was not in this year’s country music field, was named sexiest 34 year old last year, too.
As for the 37-year-old Green, he is a former college quarterback, having played at Jacksonville State University. He then starred on the CMT reality show “Redneck Island,” but these days he is coming into his own as a big-time country music star and apparently folks think he is a good-looking dude.
While Green did win “Sexiest Country Star,” he has yet to capture the top title. In fact, per Whiskey Riff, only one country music star — Blake Shelton in 2017 — won the overall People’s “Sexiest Man Alive” title.
