Country singer Jelly Roll wowed fans with his unrecognizable look after losing 200 pounds, but he’s taking to social media to vent following an encounter at a luxury store in Australia that he says treated him like a criminal.
The singer, 40, has been in Australia for a series of shows and shared on Instagram that his attempt to shop at the Louis Vuitton store in Sydney didn’t go the way he hoped.
While the singer has a past that saw him spend time in a Tennessee jail over drug-related offenses, he was left feeling like a different type of criminal when employees at the store allegedly contributed to a negative experience.
Taking to his Story, he shared a clip of himself walking away from the store, dressed in his trademark sweats and wearing a backward basketball cap.
Speaking to his fans on camera, he angrily recalled the way he felt after what happened.
It also comes as his wife, Alisa DeFord, known as Bunnie XO, also reflects on her own criminal background as she prepares to release her memoir, Stripped Down: Unfiltered and Unapologetic.
She took to social media as well to share a series of mugshots she had taken over the years and to give more details about where she came from as she shared details about the book.
Her husband commented on her post, sharing how her story helped inspire his own.
“I would have never became the man I am with out you. It was your story that inspired mine, it was always you I was trying to be like,” he said. “I’m glad the world is about to hear the real perseverance and see what God can really do. While people talked about us, judged us, wished on our downfall, we just stayed the course and believed what God had for us no man could take away. We overcome by the blood of the lamb and the power of out testimony. TESTIFY BABY! TESTIFY!”
