The nominees for the 2026 Grammy Awards will be announced today, Friday, Nov. 7, during a livestream that’s set to begin at 11 a.m. ET.

This year’s announcement boasts a stacked cast of well-known presenters and previous winners, including Sabrina Carpenter, Chappell Roan, Doechii, Karol G, Brandi Carlile, Jon Batiste, Little Big Town, Lizzo, Mumford & Sons, Nicole Scherzinger, Sam Smith, CeCe Winans, Angélique Kidjo, and more.

Nominees for the big four categories — Album, Song, and Record of the Year, as well as Best New Artist — are expected to be announced, along with a handful of prizes in the genre fields. The full nominations will be published later (and are available to view in the post below).

Last month, Rolling Stone rolled out predictions for the 68th Grammy Awards, taking a stab at the big four categories, as well as a bunch of genre categories. There are, of course, plenty of A-list artists who dropped massive albums during the eligibility period (Aug. 31, 2024, to Aug. 30, 2025), including Kendrick Lamar, Bad Bunny, Lady Gaga, Sabrina Carpenter, and the Weeknd (who notably ended his spat with the Grammys earlier this year after his album After Hours and “Blinding Lights” were snubbed a few years back).

Perhaps one of the most wide-open categories this year is Best New Artist. There’s a mix of breakout stars — like Role Model, Sombr, and Alex Warren — as well as artists who’ve been plugging away for several years, but fit the Grammy criterion of having a breakout hit during the eligibility period. These include Lola Young, Megan Moroney, Olivia Dean, and the Marías.
