The first concert of the 2026 season at the Syracuse amphitheater will be a weird one.

The Empower Federal Credit Union Amphitheater at Lakeview teased a concert announcement over the weekend with an image of “Weird Al” Yankovic. The parody king said he will announce 90 more shows on his “Bigger & Weirder” tour dates Monday at 3 p.m. ET.

“We had so much fun on our 2025 Bigger & Weirder tour that we decided we just didn’t want to stop. So we’re doing a bunch of shows next year too! If you missed it the first time around – or if for some crazy reason you want to see it again – now’s your chance!!” Yankovic wrote on social media.

Special guest Puddles Pity Party, a 7-foot-tall sad clown who appeared on “America’s Got Talent,” is expected to join Yankovic.

Tickets will be available on Ticketmaster. Additional details will be released with the official tour announcement.

The Empower FCU Amphitheater concert will be Yankovic’s first Syracuse concert since a 2019 “Strings Attached” performance with an orchestra at the Landmark Theatre. The “Bigger & Weirder” tour features more of his greatest hits and fan favorites featuring a giant video wall, multiple costume changes and an eight-piece backing ensemble that includes his original band.

“This is kind of a ‘best of both worlds’ tour,” Yankovic said when he kicked off the tour last year. “We’ll be doing all the big crowd-pleasing parodies as well as some deep cuts for the hardcore fans — but with twice as many players on stage, everything is going to sound twice as good!”

Yankovic’s 2025 tour dates included three Upstate New York stops, at the Darien Lake Amphitheater near Buffalo, the Bethel Woods Center for the Arts, and the Broadview Stage at SPAC (Saratoga Performing Arts Center) in Saratoga Springs. The SPAC concert featured a surprise performance of Helen Reddy’s “I Am Woman” and the theme songs to Captain Underpants” and Disney’s “Milo Murphy’s Law,” plus videos of “Weird Al” references in movies and TV shows like “Stranger Things,” “The Simpsons,” “The Naked Gun,” “The Goldbergs,” “Safety Patrol,” “Reno 911!” and “Scooby Doo.” ”

“Weird Al” Yankovic is a comedy musician best known for his accordion-fueled parodies like “Eat It” (Michael Jackson’s “Beat It”), “Amish Paradise” (Coolio’s “Gangsta’s Paradise”), “Like a Surgeon” (Madonna’s “Like a Virgin”), “Another One Rides the Bus” (Queen’s “Another One Bites the Dust”), “Smells Like Nirvana” (Nirvana’s “Smells Like Teen Spirit”) and “White & Nerdy” (Chamillionaire’s “Ridin’ Dirty”). He also performs original songs and polka medleys of popular music, including 2024’s “Polkamania!” featuring covers of Billie Eilish, Taylor Swift, Ed Sheeran, Lil Nas X and Cardi B.

Yankovic is also known for his film and TV career, including the cult classic “UHF” and the Emmy-winning biopic “Weird: The Al Yankovic Story.” His credits include “Comedy Bang Bang,” “The Weird Al Show,” “My Little Pony,” “Funny Or Die,” and directing music videos for Hanson, Ben Folds and the Presidents of the United States of America.
