Folk singer Joel Chadd is launching a new monthly series of shows featuring local songwriters, to happen at The Commons Cafe and Taproom in Bend on the second Thursday of December, January, February and March.
Called The Commons Sessions, the first one is set for Thursday, Dec. 11, with Chadd, Megan Alder, Bill Powers and Alicia Viani.
Says Chadd: “‘The Commons Sessions’ is a monthly gathering that’s all about community, creativity, and connection in the heart of Bend,” he said. “It’s a true locals scene — warm, welcoming, and full of heart. Each evening features local songwriters sharing their songs and stories in an intimate, round-style setting.”
Entrance is free and open to all ages, and there will be a tip jar for those who want to support the local artists. (Here’s a non-monetary tip: Support your local artists!)
