Yungblud and Aerosmith have teamed up with Lainey Wilson to share a new version of their song ‘Wild Woman’.

The track was originally shared as part of the collaborative EP ‘One More Time’, which was shared earlier this year via Capitol Records and featured four original tracks co-written by Aerosmith and Yungblud, as well as a 2025 mix of the band’s classic song ‘Back In The Saddle’.

Now, Steven Tyler and co. have swapped out the blues feel of the song for more of a country approach, and enlisted Lainey Wilson for a new version of the song ‘Wild Woman’.

Still keeping the original rock sound of the original, the latest approach to the track sees bold, powerful vocals from Wilson, and introduces an unmistakable country flair.

“I’m really hyped to have Lainey Wilson jump on this record with us. I have been a fan of her for a while,” Yungblud shared. “Her life story is truly inspirational. With this record, we really needed a female vocalist who could carry it with the level of authenticity that Lainey embodies. We needed a wild woman and we for sure got one!”

This version of the song took shape after Wilson and Tyler joined forces to perform ‘Dream On’ at the sixth annual Jam for Janie benefit in February 2025. Organised by the Aersomith frontman, the show came in support of his initiative which raises funds for young women and girls who have survived abuse.

The collaboration between Yungblud and Aerosmith comes following the two acts teaming up to perform at the 2025 MTV VMAs, paying tribute to Ozzy Osbourne.

They later confirmed that they had collaborated on the EP, and dropped ‘My Only Angel’ as the lead single shortly afterwards – marking Aerosmith’s first original release in over 12 years.

Their collaboration with Lainey Wilson isn’t the first time that the two have put a new spin on the songs from their EP. Back in October, they shared a ‘Desert Road Version’ of the lead single, which sees them put a more stripped-back, emotional spin on it, and bring in acclaimed actor Steve Martin for a guest appearance.

The original version of ‘My Only Angel’ debuted at the top of Billboard’s Hot Hard Rock Songs chart in September, and it remained in the Top 10 for three weeks.

Aside from his work with Aerosmith, Yungblud also shared a critically acclaimed solo album earlier this year, ‘Idols’. The lead single from that ‘Hello Heaven, Hello’ made its way into the list of the 50 best songs of 2025 from NME.

“Dominic Harrison’s dauntless nine-minute rock opera tightened his increasingly secure place at the head table of rock’n’roll,” the entry read. “Gliding from strings-fuelled Britpop to sleazy Zeppelin flair, he’s never sounded so confident. Across this journey of ‘self-reclamation’, Harrison pivots from mainstream cult hero to one of Britain’s definitive rock stars.”

Since then he has also announced some intimate “up close and personal” London and Kingston shows for 2026, and is set to play a run of UK and Ireland arena dates in April, a tour that he recently extended due to outstanding demand. You can find any remaining tickets here.

As for Wilson, at the start of 2025 the country star told NME about what it was like helping carrying the torch for women in the genre, and described the efforts as a “generational struggle”.

“Getting to know women like Miranda Lambert and Reba McEntire has shown me this fight isn’t new – it’s a generational struggle,” she said. “I’ve got no choice. I have to carry the torch for them, too.”

“There are so many talented women who can write the hell out of a song,” she added. “From Megan Moroney to Ella Langley, they’re having a moment, and I hope it keeps growing. But it’s still a challenge – I’m still navigating it myself.”
