Most parents can relate to the struggle of trying to wrangle their kids together for a family photo, and Kim Kardashian certainly understood that challenge as she tried to take holiday pictures for her latest Instagram post.
The Skims founder shared a slideshow of photos on Monday evening, where she posed alongside her four children—North, 12, Saint, 10, Chicago, 7, and Psalm, 6—but never all at once.
Kardashian joked about the effort in her caption, where she wrote: “I really tried.”
While battling with your kids might be pretty standard around the holidays, the All’s Fair star didn’t go quite as standard with her look.
In place of the usual red and green, Kardashian opted for a brown color palette when constructing her holiday fit. Her cozy, monochromatic ensemble consisted of a shearling bomber from Phoebe Philo, which she paired with a matching corset, leggings, and suede thong boots from Miu Miu. To complete her look, she tied her hair up into a tight bun and threw on a pair of oversize sunglasses, also from Phoebe Philo.
As for the kids, Saint went for an off-white Carhartt jacket and matching jeans, layered with a white undershirt and completed with black-and-white sneakers. Chicago then chose a black denim dress with an ostrich fur trim, which she layered over a black tee and paired with plush boots and a black denim bomber with a fur top. Meanwhile, Psalm chose a plaid, brown-and-white jacket with olive camo pants and black-and-white Nike sneakers.
Kardashian posed with all three of her youngest children across a series of snaps, but each photo seemed to feature some sort of distraction. In one photo, the quartet was seen posing in front of a Christmas tree, where their mom was clearly trying to get her eldest, North, into the picture—to no avail.
Although she was unsuccessful, the two ultimately filmed a lip-sync video together, which Kardashian included at the end of her slideshow. In it, North was seen sporting a black denim jacket and jeans set, which she accessorized with a silver-studded black handbag and two-tone high top sneakers.
This may not have been the result she wanted, but at least Kardashian has her 2024 holiday photos to look back at.
