The last year saw the loss of many celebrities in TV, movies and music, as well as internationally famous political figures. Here’s a reminder of some of the stars we have lost together with their career achievements.

Pope Francis (1936–2025) — Jorge Mario Bergoglio, beloved pontiff who redefined modern Catholic leadership with humility, inclusion, and global compassion, died at age 88.
