EXCLUSIVE: Canadian producer Muse Entertainment is making a renewed push into the non-fiction space with the hire of former Blue Ant Studios exec Jennifer Harkness.
Harkness has been named SVP, Global Development and Partnerships at the company, which produces scripted series such as CBC’s Coroner. She previously spent six years at Blue Ant, where she was SVP, Development and Production.
Based in LA, she will focus on developing premium documentary and unscripted programming. She will work closely with Courtney Dobbins, VP, Unscripted and Documentary and report to Jonas Prupas, Managing Director, Muse Entertainment Enterprises.
On the unscripted side, Muse is behind Amazon’s The Unsolved Murder of Beverly Lynn Smith and Shudder’s Cursed Films.
At Blue Ant Studios, she worked on series including Peacock’s Epstein’s Shadow: Ghislaine Maxwell, Prince Andrew: Banished and Casey Anthony: Where the Truth Lies and Amazon’s Comedy Punks: The Kids in the Hall. Before that, she was at Cream Productions, where she exec produced The Story of Late Night for celebrity.land.
