It will be difficult for any teaser or trailer now to match the hype of Avengers: Doomsday the way Channing Tatum has created, really. According to him, Doomsday is going to be mad crazy, with scenes that may be 50 times crazier than Blade walking on screen in Deadpool & Wolverine.
In conversation with ET Online, Tatum teased the massive scope of his upcoming Marvel film, where he reprises his role as Gambit. He said, “[Marvel] set a bar for themselves every movie and they beat it every single movie. And I can tell you this: as I was reading, I was like, ‘How are they going to do this?! I don’t know how they’re going to do this.’ You’re just not ready.”
The actor didn’t stop here; he added, “I don’t know how to describe it to you. It’s going to make your brains ooze out of your ears. Like in the way I knew when Blade walks on screen in Deadpool & Wolverine, people are going to physically lose their actual minds. It’s that, but I don’t know, maybe times 50. It’s gonna be one of them things.”
While Tatum didn’t reveal specifics about what fans can expect, he added, “I can’t divulge anything, but as a comic fan, you just aren’t ready.”
Interestingly, this is not the first time an actor has described the film’s scope as “big”. A few days ago, he called Doomsday a film that will “blow people’s minds.” “I’m not good enough with words to explain how big this movie will be. It’s going to blow people’s minds.” (via Variety)
This enthusiasm has only heightened the anticipation for Avengers: Doomsday, which is slated to hit theaters on December 18, 2026.
