Lisbon-born indie-pop artist, songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist MARO has released her new album SO MUCH HAS CHANGED. With over 1.3 million monthly Spotify listeners and widely recognized as one of Portugal’s most distinctive contemporary voices, MARO steps into this chapter with clarity, warmth, and quiet confidence.

Written around the turning point of her 30th birthday, SO MUCH HAS CHANGED captures a moment of reflection and self-acceptance. The album unfolds as an intimate coming-of-age story, shaped by gratitude, emotional release, and a growing appreciation for the path already traveled.

Often described as an “artist’s artist,” MARO was selected as a Spotify EQUAL ambassador, part of the platform’s global initiative to promote gender equity in music. MARO was also named among Spotify’s top 10 women most overrepresented in other artists’ 2025 Wrapped results—alongside Cleo Sol, Hayley Williams, Little Simz, FKA twigs, and Addison Rae.

On title track “SO MUCH HAS CHANGED,” MARO showcases a home-made video and offers something more than a radio ready track: presence, emotional intelligence, and joy found in everyday moments.

Ultimately, SO MUCH HAS CHANGED is a candid reflection of who MARO is now and the road she continues to carve forward.

She will bring the album to the stage this spring with a headline tour across Europe and North America, including a major London show at the Roundhouse on March 11.
