Fremantle’s director of global entertainment Andrew Llinares is set to step down this spring.
The global entertainment division and leadership team will report to group CEO Jennifer Mullin on an interim basis while a successor is found.

Llinares, who has been in post since Jan. 2023, was responsible for leading and shaping Fremantle’s global entertainment portfolio and format development, reporting to Mullin.
The exec has more than two decades in entertainment, having been a showrunner on “The X Factor” and “Britain’s Got Talent” during their original launches in 2004 and 2007 respectively before going on to become exec producer and showrunner of “The X Factor USA” and “Dancing With the Stars” Stateside.
“Andrew is a visionary creative,” said Mullin. “I have been extremely fortunate to work closely with him over many years – both in his current leadership role and during his time as a creative executive producer and showrunner.”
“I fully appreciate and support Andrew’s decision to return to his real creative passion – making shows again. Although he will be deeply missed, we all wish him the very best for the future, and I am certain our collaboration will continue.”
Llinares said in a statement: “I’ve loved every moment, but I couldn’t ignore the creative itch to get back to making content myself. Now it’s on to the next creative adventure.”
Fremantle’s entertainment portfolio includes “Masked Singer,” “The X Factor,” “Got Talent” and “Idol” among other formats. In 2025 the company delivered 345 commissions and 302 productions across 62 territories.
