TULSA – A band as iconic as its songs, legendary Cheap Trick is returning to the Hard Rock Live stage inside Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tulsa at 8 p.m., Friday, June 12.
Tickets start at $49.50 and go on sale March 6.
Cheap Trick has been rocking stages and winning over fans with its timeless sound for more than five decades. Hailing from Rockford, Illinois, the band is known for its electrifying live performances, unforgettable melodies, innovative songwriting, razor-sharp riffs and mischievous wit.
The band’s impressive catalog includes chart-topping hits such as “I Want You to Want Me,” “Dream Police,” “The Flame,” “Voices” and “Surrender.”
The band debuted its first self-titled album in 1977, gaining momentum that led to mainstream success in 1978 with the triple-platinum live album “At Budokan,” which featured a Top 10 live recording of “I Want You to Want Me.” The next year, the band released “Dream Police,” which climbed to No. 6 on the Billboard 200 chart. The group experienced another major resurgence in the late 1980s, topping U.S. charts with the power ballad “The Flame.”
Inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2016, Cheap Trick is an enduring band woven into the fibers of American music. Since its formation, the band has played more than 6,000 live shows and sold more than 20 million albums worldwide, building a following of fiercely loyal fans.
