A television personality tragically passed away following a tense confrontation with law enforcement in Boulder, C.O.
David Wilcock, known for his role in Ancient Aliens, featured in 80 episodes of the paranormal series on The History Channel, and also appeared in programs including Cosmic Disclosure, Ancient Civilisations and The Truth Behind. He was 53 years old at the time of his death.
He was reportedly experiencing a mental health crisis when the Boulder County Sheriff’s Department responded to an emergency call on Monday, April 20, near the Colorado community of Nederland. Officers arrived at approximately 11 a.m. MDT and encountered David outdoors, armed with a weapon — which he turned on himself following a confrontation with deputies. It comes as Trump reviewed ‘interesting’ UFO files.
During the emergency call, David discussed “health issues and financial concerns” before telling the operator, “I’m sorry to put you through this,” and then ended the call, reports the Express.
The sheriff’s office released a statement saying, “Deputies searched the residence and surrounding property and did not locate any other individuals. There is no known threat to the public.

“Detectives with the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office responded and are conducting a joint investigation with the Boulder County Coroner’s Office. The official cause and manner of death will be determined by the Coroner’s Office.”
The coroner’s office subsequently identified the deceased as David Wilcock. His family confirmed David “took his own life […] after a long struggle with depression and overwhelming financial debt.” In the days leading up to his death, David shared with fans, “I am not yet sure if I am doing a show tomorrow. I’ve had some very intense stuff going on this weekend. Either way, I want you all to know how much I love and appreciate you.
“Always remember that the Creator is within — and we live in a loving universe. I am very grateful to you for all of your love, care and support.”
David was a New York native and the son of journalist Buddy Guy. He graduated from SUNY New Paltz with a degree in psychology. Thereafter, he worked in psychiatric hospital for several weeks, but his ultimate career path led him down something much different.
He became interested in paranormal activity, including theories about UFOs and alien life. He penned multiple books on the subject matter and led classes on how to prepare for the arrival of aliens.
Following the news, tributes poured in for the star. One Reddit user posted, “Rest in peace, be kind to one another, mental health is so important.”
Another added, “He always seemed like a nice guy. Him apologising to the dispatcher and saying ‘sorry to put you through this’ was particularly sad. RIP.”
David’s death also sparked conspiracy theories online, especially given his subject matter expertise. Mere days before his death, David spoke about the deaths of fellow UFO researchers Erich von Däniken and Nick Pope, speculating on (unproven) foul play.
“Looking in his eyes, I see a distraught man who’s just exhausted. RIP,” wrote one fan regarding a clip of his final livestream.
