ITV’s I’m A Celebrity… South Africa live final ended in chaos with campmates tsporming off set and more rows
I’m A Celebrity… South Africa hosts Ant and Dec shared their thoughts on Adam Thomas’ win minutes after he was crowned winner of the second All Stars series in a chaotic live final.
The pair appeared on the aftershow on ITV2 where they chatted with Sam Thompson and Kemi Rodgers. But while most of the stars of the 2026 series attended I’m A Celebrity… Unpacked there were notable missing faces – Adam failed to appear for his winner’s chat and both David Haye and Jimmy Ballard, who had been embroiled in feuds with the former Emmerdale star throughout the series, were also notably missing.
As the show opened. Sam and Kemi spoke to Ant and Dec about their thoughts on the live final and the winner and the pair were clearly still digesting what happened during the earlier live final, which saw the finalists gather in a studio to hear who the public had crowned their winner.
During the show, campmates stormed off and David, who had previously been embroiled in accusations of “bullying” Adam – claims he denied, challenged Adam live on air with Ant and Dec being forced to step in.
Later on the aftershow, the hosts spoke about the live final and the “horrific” final eating trial which was shown with Ant saying: “I didn’t expect a tarantula if I’m being honest, that was pretty gruesome.” Dec chipped in that it “went up another level”.
Ant added: “To be fair to all four of them – to Craig, to Simone, to Harry and to Adam – four quite gruesome trails in the final there and they all did them. Well done them.”
Sam went on to tease the aftershow saying: “We’ve got plenty more to come from the finalists and all of the campmates.” As Ant chipped in: “All of them? As many as we could muster!”
Sam then asked them about “worthy” winner Adam and Dec responded: “He had a really tough time in there , he was up and down, he said himself he struggled in there but he did brilliantly. He faced all the trials and challenges, he got on with it, he did brilliantly. Yeah he deserved to win.”
The earlier live final, which was shown across two segments, featured pre-recorded footage of Adam tackling his ultimate Trial – a stomach-churning eating challenge. Following the broadcast, Gemma Collins declared in the London studio: “Just forever will be my hero, Adam. You so deserve to win this show. Adam to win!”, before adding: “You’ve just done so well, Adam. Just, you’re amazing.”
But David, 45, suddenly challenged the finalist live on air. Alluding to Adam’s confrontation with Jimmy, he questioned: “Do you think you deserve to win this after calling Jimmy the C-word a couple of times? Do you think you deserve to win it?”
Adam fired back: “After the Trial, I deserve it, yeah.” Presenters Ant and Dec swiftly intervened, with Dec interjecting: “David, we’re going to come to this, we’ll come to this a little bit later!”
Undeterred, David pressed on: “Don’t you think you should ask Jimmy whether he deserves to win it?” prompting Ant to respond: “We will! We are going to ask Jimmy later and we’ll speak to you as well.”
David then alleged regarding Adam’s clash with Jimmy: “There’s a lot of that stuff cut out of it” with Ant confirming: “There was a lot of stuff that was said that was unbroadcastable, which is why, look, we’ll get into all of this later in the show! You’ll all have a right to reply.”
