A potential reunion between Prince Harry and Prince William is reportedly making the royal family uneasy.

The brothers could come face-to-face in June at the wedding of their cousin Peter Phillips, marking their first time in the same room since August 2024.

The news comes as speculation grows over whether Harry and Meghan Markle will make a return to the U.K. later this year.

When did Harry and William last see each other?

According to a source cited by Closer magazine, the last time the brothers shared the same space was at the funeral of their uncle, Lord Robert Fellowes.

Even then, the reunion was far from warn. “They sat apart at the back of the church and didn’t speak at all,” the insider said. “They were there but completely separate.”

According to Closer, it was the first time they shared the same space since the coronation of their father, King Charles III.

Why the royal family is feeling ‘anxious’

The chance of another encounter has those close to the family on edge. “The royal family are feeling anxious about having the brothers in the same room again,” Closer‘s source claimed. “While Harry holds on to hope, William is still furious about his behavior.”

“There are so many unresolved feelings between them and the family fear that William’s ready to unleash how he feels. There is a lot that has never been said face-to-face,” the source continued.

How does Kate Middleton feel about the reunion?

Kate Middleton is reportedly feeling the strain too.

According to the source, the Princess of Wales feels “nervous” about the potential meeting but would likely try to smooth things over if given the chance.

“Kate has always been someone who wants to keep the peace,” the insider noted. “If the opportunity arises, she will absolutely encourage them to talk, even if it’s just briefly. She wouldn’t push, but she would gently guide if the moment felt right.”
