Kensington Palace have released an adorable video of Princess Charlotte to thank everyone who took the time to wish her a happy birthday. The Prince and Princess of Wales’s daughter, who is celebrating her 11th birthday today, is shown enjoying the family’s beach break in Cornwall.
The 13-second video opens with the birthday girl stroking the family’s two dogs, Orla and Otto, before clips of her cuddling one of the pups on her lap while on a boat. The video then moves to the beach, where the Prince and Princess of Wales’s middle child is seen writing a message in the sand with shells, which starts with I and a love heart.
It finishes with Charlotte bowling a cricket ball overarm in shorts and T-shirt on the sand.
Standing in a field of daisies wearing a black and red striped jumper and jeans, the Prince and Princess of Wales’s daughter looks like a natural model as she poses against the natural backdrop.
Her long, golden brunette hair cascades down her face as she smiles directly at the camera in the never-before-seen holiday snap.
The image was taken by Matt Porteous, the trusted royal photographer who captured the recently shared image of the Wales family to mark their wedding anniversary on Wednesday and Prince Louis’ birthday snap.
A message accompanying the photo, which was shared on William and Catherine’s official social media accounts, read: “Wishing Charlotte a very happy 11th birthday!” It was accompanied by a birthday cake emoji.
As with the other two images, the picture was taken during their Easter holiday in Cornwall
The chocolate cocker spaniel is one of four puppies born to their older dog, Orla, in 2025. The palace shared a picture of the spaniel, taken by Catherine, with the caption: “Welcome to the family, Otto! 1 today.”
It marks the first time the prince and princess have released the name of the new addition.
