Duval Hall opens in Jacksonville. See lineup of concerts, events

While construction continues at Jacksonville’s new fairgrounds, one centerpiece is already open and making noise. Duval Hall, a sprawling indoor venue, has begun hosting concerts and specialty events months before the rest of the site is finished.

Crews are still building the midway and a new barn ahead of the Greater Jacksonville Agricultural Fair this November. But Duval Hall and its surrounding parking lots are complete and they’re quickly becoming a go-to spot for entertainment in the city.

Here’s what to know about Duval Hall and the schedule of upcoming events.

What Is Duval Hall? What makes it different from other concert venues?

Duval Hall isn’t your typical concert venue. The 40,000-square-foot space features a stage on one end and can be configured for a wide range of events.

Thanks to a curtain of 26 acoustic panels, the space can shrink for intimate shows or open up for bigger crowds. Expect anything from a cozy 1,500-person set to a nearly 3,000-fan experience — all with seriously tuned acoustics (those sound-absorbing ceilings aren’t just for show).

Additionally, there’s no permanent seating, allowing for both standing-room concerts and seated gatherings like banquets or graduations.

The venue was also built with sound quality in mind. Vinyl-lined walls and ceilings, along with sound-absorbing ductwork coverings, help create a polished acoustic experience.

How does Duval Hall look inside?

Have any concerts been hosted at Duval Hall so far?

Yes, Duval Hall recently hosted one of its first ticketed concerts, drawing a few hundred fans for a recent performance by Jacksonville rock band Allele on April 24, 2026.

What kind of events will take place at Duval Hall?

While live music is grabbing headlines, Duval Hall is designed to do much more. With a 43-foot ceiling and full air conditioning, the space can easily shift between different event types, including the following:

  • Trade shows and expos
  • Sporting events like volleyball tournaments
  • Graduation ceremonies
  • Banquets and private events
  • Specialty conventions and markets

Upcoming events at Duval Hall in May and beyond

The venue’s schedule is quickly filling up with a mix of entertainment, lifestyle, and niche events. Here’s a list of upcoming events:

This diverse lineup highlights Duval Hall’s ability to cater to multiple audiences, from music fans to hobbyists and collectors.

What’s next for Jacksonville Fairgrounds? When is the amphitheater expected to open?

Duval Hall is just the beginning. By November, a new outdoor amphitheater with a capacity of 10,000 is expected to open in time for the fair.

Together, the indoor hall and outdoor venue will position the fairgrounds as a major entertainment destination in Jacksonville.

Why is Duval Hall an upgrade for Jacksonville’s event scene?

Even in its early days, Duval Hall is proving to be more than just a placeholder until construction wraps. It’s already functioning as a dynamic, multi-use venue that can host everything from concerts to conventions.

As more events roll in and the fairgrounds expand, Duval Hall is poised to play a central role in shaping Jacksonville’s live entertainment and event landscape year-round.

Where is Duval Hall?

Duval Hall is located at 13601 Normandy Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32221, and is part of the Jacksonville Fairgrounds.
