Cannes Lions has named Apple’s Eddy Cue, as its 2026 Entertainment
Person of the Year.
Created in 2019 (Lorne Michaels was the first recipient) the award recognizes the important role that entertainment plays in the marketing and
communications landscape, according to the organization.

Cue is credited with being instrumental in building Apple’s global entertainment ecosystem over the last six years,
overseeing Apple TV, Apple Music, Apple Podcasts, Apple Books, Apple Pay, Apple News, Fitness+, Apple Card, Apple Maps, iCloud, as well as Apple’s productivity and creativity apps.
