FAMILY-HOUR STARGAZING: 10 a.m., Irene W. Pennington Planetarium at the Louisiana Art & Science Museum, 100 S. River Road. Learn about the stars and constellations in the local nighttime sky, followed by an all-ages show. lasm.org.

“SUNSET BOULEVARD”: 2 p.m., Manship Theatre, 100 Lafayette St. Screening of the 1950 noire/romance film in which an aging silent film queen refuses to accept that her stardom has ended. Starring William Holden and Gloria Swanson. $5. manshiptheatre.org.
