Shannon Fairweather is officially a bride-to-be.
Fairweather, who is a contestant from season 49 of Survivor, announced her engagement to her longtime boyfriend, Daniel, over the weekend.
Daniel popped the question to Fairweather during a getaway to Nantucket, Mass. Fairweather, 28, first subtly announced her engagement by sharing a few photos of herself wearing her diamond engagement ring in an Instagram carousel captioned, “A very special weekend,” posted on Sunday, June 7.

The next day, on Monday, June 8, Fairweather more officially shared the news by posting a mix of proposal photos and shots of the couple from over the years together on Instagram. “It’s always been you,” she wrote in the caption.
The photos show Daniel proposing on bended knee on the island near a lighthouse as Fairweather reacted with surprise and excitement. After the big moment, the couple hugged and kissed.
The engagement ring features a sparkling oval-cut diamond encircled by a halo of smaller diamonds on a thin diamond band.
“Thank you for all your love & support family — Daniel & I are so grateful. 🥹,” Fairweather wrote in the comments section.
Another Instagram post showed the soon-to-be bride and groom celebrating over a romantic candlelit dinner. Fairweather wrote, “Best night ever.”

On Tuesday, June 9, the Catholic content creator shared on Instagram that the proposal was a complete surprise, writing, “I truly did not see that coming.”
