Prince Harry reportedly “regrets” his past criticisms of his royal relatives and wants to be back in touch with his family, it has been claimed. The Duke of Sussex, who quit royal life in 2020, not only left royal duty and the UK behind, but also some of his relationships too.
This is because he spent the first few years after stepping back from royal life criticising his family and the Firm. The first instance of this was in the 2021 Oprah Winfrey interview, followed by the 2022 Netflix docuseries Harry and Meghan. The duke, 41, then published his 2023 memoir Spare, which was very critical of the Royal Family and his experiences as a royal.
It was this memoir that reportedly saw the relationship he had with his brother Prince William completely crumble to a point of no return.
While Harry has previously spoken about how he has no regrets and was telling his “truth”, founder of Celebrity Intelligence Dan Wakeford has now claimed Harry does indeed have regrets about what he said.
He also said that the prince wants reconciliation with William and to be on good terms with him, which cannot happen as Harry reportedly no longer even has his older brother’s phone number.
Speaking on The Royals Uncensored podcast last week, Dan Wakeford said: “Harry wants a reconciliation.”
He continued: “He regrets the things he said in the book and the documentary, and doing that again is off the table.
“What’s heartbreaking is he kind of has hoped that William would stumble a little and reach out and need him. He’s got no avenue to communicate with him.”
While Harry has publicly verbalised how he wants a reconciliation with his brother at some point, William has always stayed quiet on the matter and has refrained from commenting about it.
