Country music star Jelly Roll and his wife, Bunnie XO, are divorcing after nearly 10 years of marriage.
According to court documents obtained by TMZ, the “Wild Ones” singer was the one who pulled the plug on the marriage and filed for divorce in Tennessee back in May.
Sources told the outlet that the split was a mutual decision and a private family matter.
The couple has been open about the good and bad times in their relationship, which have included a cheating scandal and IVF troubles.
Jelly Roll first met Bunnie XO in 2015 before becoming famous. The couple tied the knot in August 2016. Since then, Bunnie XO has been by his side during his rapid rise to fame in recent years.
But their union was tested early. One week before the wedding, Jelly Roll fathered a child with another woman.
During an appearance on the Human School podcast last year, Jelly Roll revealed that the couple went through choppy waters when he was unfaithful to her.
“One of the worst moments of my adulthood was when I had an affair on my wife,” he admitted. “Because it was the first time that I was like, ‘I really can’t get this right at all. I know I’m in love with this woman.’ It just really, really, really blew me back.”
He went on to explain that he put in “a lot of work to repair” the marriage, and they were then “stronger than we could ever have been.”
