When new photos of the pop superstar emerged on social media this morning, you might’ve thought they had been dug up from sometime in the 2000s, but no, they were taken just yesterday, as the mom of three was seen shopping at the luxury goods store Maison Goyard in Beverly Hills.
Her look felt like a major fashion throwback, as she wore a wine-colored strapless jumpsuit with sporty pink pinstripe details decorating the sides—a piece you might have found on a hip-hop star, or maybe even Sporty Spice back in the Y2K era.
The one-piece garment featured an elastic neckline and a drawstring waist with gathered material, which morphed into straight legs down low.
To complement the stripes of her suit, Rihanna slipped into a set of baby pink Moon Shoe sneakers from the Jacquemus x Nike collaboration, while popping on some Louis Vuitton LV Star sunglasses with cranberry-gradient lenses. Finally, she added some bling courtesy of golden necklaces stacked up top, including a choker and a medallion pendant, along with a watch on her wrist to match.
As sportswear continues to find its way into all the stars’ closets, the Fenty Beauty founder is clearly getting on board, too. And while her outfit might have appeared dated on anyone else, she still managed to make it feel fresh. Then again, this is the woman who can rock bathrobe-esque dresses and slime green accessories with ease. There’s no look that she can’t conquer.
