FAMOUS faces turned out in force to enjoy the action from one of sport’s most exclusive vantage points, including one of North Yorkshire’s stars of the screen and theatre.
Actor James Norton was among the celebrities seated in the Royal Box in Wimbledon’s Centre Court on Monday, July 6, as the tournament entered its second week.
The recently named lead in a new West End production of Hamlet, who also portrayed Harold Godwinson, later King Harold in BBC miniseries King & Conqueror, joined a long list of high-profile guests who have attended this year, including David Beckham, Celia Imrie, and Chris Hoy, who enjoyed the ultimate VIP treatment in SW19 last week.

The Royal Box, in use since 1922, is reserved for invited guests and friends of Wimbledon and offers a prime view of the tennis.
The Royal Family are also regular attendees, with Catherine, Princess of Wales and patron of the All England Club since 2016, visiting earlier in the tournament.
Three fourth-round matches took place on Centre Court on Monday.
Wildcard entry Arthur Fery, the last remaining British singles player in the tournament, is in action against ninth-seed Italy’s Flavio Cobolli on Centre Court today, following the Ladies’ Singles Quarter-Finals match-up between Marta Kostyuk and Jasmine Paolini, the tournament’s 12th and 13th seed.
The Royal Box is a regular fixture for celebrities across sport, film, and television.
