“He actually wrote my part and his part. Denzel is quite the MC. I call him the Word Philosopher,” explained the 37-year-old.
Rocky opened up that he received advice from Washington while filming the movie.
“Spike gave me advice throughout the film. Jeffrey Wright, my co-star, gave me advice. And Denzel gave me advice,” he told the outlet.
Rocky further said, “It was a crazy dynamic trio, this trifecta of old genius. They blessed me with a lot of jewels.”
Elsewhere in the interview, the rapper confessed he was overwhelmed by many A-list stars, including his co-star in Lee directed movie.
“I got starstruck working with Denzel,” he continued.
Rocky pointed out, “And even though I know these guys, I get starstruck anytime I encounter André 3000 or Jay-Z.”
“I admire and respect them so much that I still fan out,” added the rapper.
