AFI Fest has added four red-carpet premieres of some highly buzzed fall film festival titles, in addition to several new screenings. Netflix’s Noah Baumbach-directed and George Clooney-starring Jay Kelly, Sony Pictures Classics’ Nuremberg, Row K’s Gus Van Sant title Dead Man’s Wire and Black Bear’s Sydney Sweeney boxing movie Christy will get the red carpet rolled out for their AFI Fest debuts.
The Jay Kelly Gala Screening will take place on Thursday, October 23; Nuremberg on Friday, October 24; Dead Man’s Wire on the afternoon of Saturday, October 25, and Christy the evening of October 25. The festival runs October 22-26.
The titles join the opening-night film, 20th Century Studios’ Springsteen: Deliver Me From Nowhere, and the world premieres of Focus Features’ Song Sung Blue and Paramount’s The SpongeBob Movie: Search for Squarepants. All red carpet premieres take place at the Tcl Chinese Theatre in Hollywood.
