Former professional boxer Christy Martin defended Euphoria star Sydney Sweeney, who portrayed her in the Christy biopic, after actor Ruby Rose commented on her performance.
Rose stated on Threads that Sweeney “ruined” the biopic and called her a “cretin.”
“Christy deserved better,” said Rose. Rose had been previously attached to the film as Cherry and called the original script “life-changing.”
“Everyone had experience with the core material,” said Rose. “Most of us were actually gay. It’s part of why I stayed in acting. Losing roles happens all the time.”
Rose went on to criticize Sweeney and her team for their recent controversies and for Christy‘s poor box-office performance.
