Reba McEntire has been forced to speak out against AI pictures showing her at Dolly Parton’s “deathbed” after the singer’s sister asked fans for prayers.
Freida Parton worried fans as she spoke out on Dolly’s ongoing health struggles on Facebook. “Last night, I was up all night praying for my sister, Dolly,” Freida had said.
Some people have since circulated a fake picture of her in hospital on social media, despite Dolly insisting she is fine as she said, “I ain’t dead yet.”
In response to the AI picture, Reba took to Instagram to support her friend. “You tell ’em, Dolly, that AI mess has got us doing all kinds of crazy things.”
She added, “You are out there dying, I’m out here having a baby,” sharing a fake picture of her holding a sonogram.
Another fan suggested, “Make your own AI and shake the AI demons up. Love you both! Hee Haw .. love!” while a third person commented, “Say it legend.”
“Reba you are spectacular as always prayers for both of you,” someone else said as a fifth fan added, “Thank you Reba for addressing this also. Praying for Dolly.”
Dolly recently responded to fears about her health in a video as she said, “I wanted to say, I know lately everybody thinks that I am sicker than I am. Do I look sick to you? I’m working hard here!”
She admitted, “I’ve got some problems, as I mentioned, back when my husband Carl was very sick, that was for a long time, and then when he passed, I didn’t take care of myself, so I let a lot of things go that I should have been taking care of.
“So, anyway, when I got around to it, the doctor said, ‘We need to take care of this, we need to take care of that,’ nothing major. But I did have to cancel some things so I could be closer to home.”
Dolly concluded, “But I wanted you to know that I’m not dying.”
